
Therapeutic Chair
This gentle Chair based Yoga class gives you all the benefits of flexibility, strength and balance work while moving at a slower pace. Keep your knees and shoulders safe in this class while focusing on range of motion exercises and therapeutic modifications for a variety of conditions. This class is wonderful for recovering from a surgery or illness, improving balance, muscle toning, reduced stress levels, better breathing habits, better sleep and an overall sense of well-being.
Chair Yoga meets every Tuesday and Thursday at
10:30-11:30.

I can not begin to tell you what a blessing both yoga and you have been to me. My rheumatologist has been urging me for several years to start an exercise routine of some sort to ease the pain and stiffness associated with my disease. A friend finally convinced me to try yoga (even loaned me some workout clothes to try it) , and the rest is history. I can move so much more easily, and I even think (hope) my balance is improving. It is amazing, also, that during my check-ups with the doctor, she moves my joints in much the same way yoga teaches. I would encourage anyone to give it a try.
